Everyone in this world has suffered from depression at some point in their lives. It is almost impossible to find a person who has never experienced sadness or misery in his or her life. With life becoming more demanding in today's competitive world, more and more people are feeling stressed and worried out. This then leads many to become depressed if they are unsuccessful in achieving their goals.

No parent wants to hear or believe that their teenage son or daughter is depressed, but it happens. It could be that the teen is having difficulty in dealing with the loss of a family member or close friend, are having difficulty with other students at school or are suffering from stresses from home, school and/or work. Ignoring the problem will not help it go away.
